Leading system-wide collaboration and accountability
Build strong partnerships across government and health bodies to align financial planning with service delivery, monitor performance, and ensure transparency and best value.
You’ll provide direction and advice to NHS Boards, monitor their financial performance, and take action where needed.

Championing inclusive and equitable budgeting
Embed equality into financial decision-making by supporting inclusive budget processes and ensuring health inequalities are addressed through strategic resource allocation.
You’ll champion inclusive budgeting through the Equality Budget Statement and support race allyship and mutual mentoring across your Directorate.
