We’re recruiting for two Deputy Director positions within our Digital, Data and Technology profession, offering the opportunity to shape the digital foundations that enable government to operate efficiently, securely and at scale.
The successful candidates will join our Corporate Operations Directorate, and play a pivotal role in leading large-scale transformation across critical platforms, applications, infrastructure and networks.
You’ll drive innovation, build high-performing teams, influence strategic investment, and deliver secure, resilient technology services that enable thousands of colleagues to serve the people of Scotland.
Together, these roles are responsible for delivering the technology foundations, platforms and services that enable the Scottish Government to operate securely, efficiently and effectively.

You’ll drive the modernisation of core technology services, ensuring they are secure, resilient and scalable while enabling innovation across the organisation.

Deputy Director for Corporate Applications and Support Services

Lead the strategy, delivery and ongoing evolution of the corporate applications that enable government to work effectively.
You’ll shape an integrated digital workplace ecosystem, driving transformation, improving user experience and maximising value from technology investment.
We’re looking for a proven digital leader with experience modernising complex application estates, delivering enterprise-scale change and building strong technology capabilities.
